The following audio and video files covering major waterfront issues are available free of charge for download.

They are designed to stimulate community discussion about creating a liveable city and understanding the importance of our waterfront.

Please note that these files are generally large in size and are most suited for download over a broadband internet connection. If you experience any problems with downloads or your internet access is slow, please contact us and we will arrange a CD version to be made available.

A look at key sites in the Cove through the eyes of Australia’s leading urban designers and architects. Narrated by Andy Muirhead (The Collectors, ABC TV).

To download the podwalk, right-click on the link below. In the menu that appears select "Save target as". If you are using an Apple computer, control-click on the link and select "Download linked file as".

Please note, to put the podwalk on an iPod, drag the downloaded M4A file into iTunes. For other brand MP3 players, drag the MP3 version (audio-only) into your player folder.

Hobart Waterfront by Air

The Story of the Hobart Waterfront International Design Comeptition

A revealing, behind-the-scenes look at how Tasmania managed to attract 280 of the world’s top architects and urban designers to tackle a crucial slice of the Hobart waterfront. Despite an uncertain start, the competition soon caught the attention of the global design community, and on deadline day the organisers were swamped with entries from 51 countries. Includes interviews with winners and leading international judges.

Vox pops from waterfront identities who despite differing views about how Sullivans Cove should be developed, share a passion for protecting and nurturing this part of the world so its special qualities can be enjoyed by future generations.
