Notification
of Discretionary Applications
Discretionary applications are advertised in local media and
appear on the Authority's web site below. These are applications
that require the Authority to decide whether a permit should
be granted or refused.
Written representations can be mailed, emailed or faxed to the Authority during the timeframe notified. If
any representations are made within the notification period,
the Authority must consider these when making its decision.
Only
the applicant and any person making a representation during
the notification period will have a right of appeal to the
Resource Management and Planning Appeal Tribunal (RMPAT) against
the Authority’s decision. Visit the RMPAT web site: www.rmpat.tas.gov.au.

Planning applications are available for public viewing at our offices at 5 Franklin Wharf, Hobart between 10am and 4pm weekdays or at other times by appointment.

Please note: Every effort is made to place sufficient material on this website to provide a meaningful overview of planning applications. Full details of planning applications can be obtained from the Authority's office at 5 Franklin Wharf, Hobart, where they are available for public inspection.

Waterfront Urban Design Framework 2004 (UDF) (download the UDF).
No
development plans or amendments
to the UDF are currently being notified.
Amendment 2-2008 to the Sullivans Cove Planning Scheme 1997 is currently being notified. Amendment 2-2008 seeks to correct minor errors and anomolies and clarify provisions in Schedule 4 - Signs. More information about this amendment is on this website. The comment period closes on Friday 5 September 2008.
