Liquid Trade Waste Compliance

Food premises in the Cove are required to comply with liquid trade waste requirements under the Building Act 2000 and Tasmanian Plumbing Regulations 2004.

From 1 July 2009, Southern Water will begin operations as the new water and wastewater service provider for southern Tasmania. Their responsibilities include being the new regulatory body for liquid trade waste. To install new or upgrade existing liquid trade waste infrastructure, consent from Southern Water will be required as well as plumbing approval from the Authority.

Details on the new approval process will be available soon.
